Summer Totes
Mr. UPS dropped off a few boxes - two of them contained the most adorable summer knitting totes!
Since the silk project bags were so popular over the winter months, we've added the Eden Pouches for spring/summer. These are made out of cotton so will be a little more durable.
We have the blue (shown) and the mauve Annabelle Tote from Della Q. These are very sturdy and well-made basket-style totes and are lined with fun fabric so your yarn won't get snagged. There are interior pockets for your notions too.

Another Local Designer
We are happy to be carrying patterns from another local designer - CiD Hanscom Designs!

The first is "Change Your Socks Purse". This is a darling pattern that uses worsted weight yarn (and we all have lots of that in our stash) to make an adorable change purse - and don't worry, the hardware is included in the pattern.

SPINNING ANYONE?
We're very excited to accouncethat we are starting to carry SPINNING WHEELS AND FIBER!
Our first order of spinning wheels arrived today - the Louet Julia Spinning Wheel.
"The best way to describe this wheel is a Victoria version of the S51DT. Bobbins, flyer and the Scotch tension are the same as on the Victoria. There are four rations: from 6:1 up to 19:1.
A removable insert provides two orifice sizes. All rotating parts run on ball bearings for smooth operation, while the unit itself is constructed out of beech and birch plywood, smoothly lacquered.
An optional stand-alone Lazy Kate comes with an adjustable brake for the three bobbins it holds. As an introductory special, the Julia is being delivered with a FREE stand-alone Lazy Kate, and 1 additional bobbin (for a total of four)."
The wheels will be out in the online shopping section once our website redesign is done but in the meantime, if you're interested in one give us a call or if you are a local customer, stop on in and check them out!

New Books
We're always getting new books in the shop, but thought that the following were definately worth mentioning.

First is "A Fine Fleece" by Lisa Lloyd. Not only does the book have some great patterns to use your handspun yarn with, but each pattern is also made up in commercial yarn too. I think the patterns are beautiful - socks, sweaters (for guys too!), scarves and lots of texture knitting. Very "knittable".

Hot off the press is "Knit So Fine". This is a collection of patterns that use finer gauge yarns for all skill levels. Stylish and contemporary collection of hats, scarves, sweaters, and more!
